Yorkshire Wedding Photography

~ Sheffield ~ Barnsley ~ Leeds ~ Wakefield ~

A few years ago I began shooting weddings across Yorkshire, predominantly South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire & North Yorkshire.
I found my groove pretty quickly, shooting naturally - capturing the day as it unfolds.
I shoot with a distinctive visual style that I’ve cultivated over many years of refining the aesthetics of my work. These visual elements are drawn from my time studying & working in the arts, for which I hold a degree in Contemporary Art from SHU. I am first and foremost an artist, photography is an expression of my art.
Like any artist worth their salt, I pour care and attention in to everything I create. As such I shoot everything personally and ensure that every photograph I deliver is edited to a professional standard.

FAQs

What gear do you use?

I own a variety of professional camera gear. I have two high-end Nikon bodies that I use and usually carry three lenses with me on weddings that I’ll interchange throughout the day.

How far will you travel to shoot a wedding?

Although I’m based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, my first ever wedding was in London and I’ve travelled as far as Italy for weddings. I normally shoot in and around Yorkshire, however I’d be willing to travel just about anywhere.

Do you have price packages?

Not exactly, given that weddings vary so much I find it difficult to offer one-size-fits-all packages. I tend to price by the hour, and tailor my quotes to each individual schedule. This allows for more flexibilty in what I can offer & what you can request from me.

Do you shoot wedding photography for same-sex marriages/civil partnerships?

Of course.

Have you shot religious weddings?

I’ve shot traditional Christian & Muslim weddings, and even mixed ceremonies. I’m happy to shoot anything.

Do you edit the photos? How many do we get?

I edit everything I deliver to ensure the colours are spot on. I edit a mixture of black & white and colour. It’s difficult to say how many images you’ll get as each wedding is different, but after a full day of shooting I’d expect a few hundred photos.

How long after the wedding before we get the photos?

Usually around two weeks or so. On odd occasions I’ve needed an extra week but I’ll only request that if I require it in order to improve the images. Post-processing is a very important aspect of producing good photography and shouldn’t be rushed.

Is it possible to print off the photos?

All the images I produce will be in high resolution and 100% print ready. I’m happy to edit black and white copies of your favourites too if you’d like to test them out in monochrome before you print. The images will be under a Creative Commons license that will protect your right to use them.

Do you meet couples before the wedding?

I do generally, although it isn’t a requirement. Every wedding is unique so it’s always fruitful to discuss the details of your wedding schedule. It’s also good to meet couples beforehand so that we can establish rapport before your day.

Can we have a quote for our wedding?

Of course, shoot me some details using the contact form below.
